Our bags are made of 100% BPA-free, non-GMO and food-safe multi-layered plastic film. We are working hard with our partners to find a more responsible packaging solution but until a viable compostable option becomes available, we are actively transitioning all our packaging to post-consumer resin (PCR). The Association of Plastic Recycling reported that by using recycled resins you can reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 79% for PET, 88% for HDPE, and 88% for PP. Current limitations will allow for 38% PCR in our packaging, but we are hoping for 60% by the end of 2023.
